Blogging on everything from sports to submarines to engineering to petrochemicals to seeing how many times I can type the word "to" in one sentence....TO.

Home Town Pride
Turns out the PC police come with real uniforms in my home town. Cost of freedom of speech, $75. Leaving important details out of a national media report on the exact context of a possibly insensitive remark - priceless.
My name is Mike, I am currently a polymerization process engineer for a large oil company down in the Bayou. I am generally conservative in economic and national defense issues and relatively liberal on social issues. (I think this means we should legalize pot, place it on the free market, and use the additional revenue to bomb other countries). My previous adult life has consisted of the following:
1996-1998 Nuclear Power Training,
1998-2001 USS La Jolla E-DIV,
2001-2003 USS La Jolla Nav-ET Div,
(positional change = long story; but anyone familiar with submarine incident reports from 2001 might be able to figure out exactly who this is),
2003-2007 University of Illinois where I recieved a BS in Chemical Engineering.
